Here is my New Years's Resolution. I have always talked about wanting to be a theater critic, being able to give my thoughts and opinions on performances I see. Enough with the talking. Time for some doing. I plan to use this blog to test the waters and write about as many shows as I can manage to attend on a poor university student's budget.
Although I am no professional I have grown up in the theater, onstage and sitting in the audience.
I am dancer and have been dancing since a young age, but I am generally not too picky. Ballets, operas, musicals, plays, even movies, I love them all. Some performances strike you and you carry them around in your head for days afterwards. Now I want to get them out of my head and onto paper...or a computer screen at least.
I attend school in London and spend most of my time there so the reviews will be centered around the city. I am currently on Christmas break from university and living in my quiet Kentucky home town so, although the bluegrass state has a thriving art scene, my scope will be limited for the next few weeks.
I am excited to get this thing off the ground and hope that there are some other passionate theater goers out there who will enjoy reading what I write.
